Vienna, Austria (2003-09-04)

From Bratislava it's a short trip by train or bus to the West into Vienna, which is so close that you could probably see it if you stood tip-toes in Bratislava.

Vienna is a city for sipping coffee at cafes and for gelato and for palaces and palace gardens, and for sipping coffee in palace gardens.

I guess I tend to gravitate towards Universities, and universities while trekking across Europe are usually interesting. Two old friends at Universität Wien:

Love in Vienna:

People going places.

Church through the trees.

Opposite side of the same sculpture.

Back in Rochester, we had a picnic in the park, and went out to see Harold and Kumar at the dollar cinema.

Aww, "love in vienna" is the cutest picture ever. Did you know those people, or were they just innocent bystanders?

Also, hooray for homoerotic fountain art!
