I went climbing again with my officemate (Tobias, aka Fu) at Hochschulsport. Maybe we'll make it a regular thing! On Wednesdays the climbing wall is open until midnight, but for some reason it completely clears out around 10pm, so there's lots of space.
I tried lead climbing (Vorstieg) for the first time. It went well. Thankfully, since my health insurance starts on February 1st! (My insurance ran out on November 30th and for some reason they didn't think to ask me whether I wanted to renew the contract.)
A woman who was instructing a climbing course heard us speaking English and came over and introduced herself - a former Wisconsinite who moved here after high school - and told us about all the cool outdoor climbing areas around here, such as this one that has a "cute little campground" right next to it. I dunno, that kinda sounds like the perfect way to spend the German summer weekends.
