garden swing

Lots of houses here in BTR have awesome garden or porch swings. This one is the tallest I've seen so far; it's just around the corner from my house. Also note the huge old oak trees.

critical mass - june

Another fun Critical Mass ride in Baton Rouge. A thunderstorm had just passed through town, so everything was fresh and sparkly from the rain, and the temperature was quite pleasant. It's summer now, so there's a slightly different and slightly smaller crowd, but the riders are still quite numerous (as pictured). This was a short ride, only about an hour, ending at an after-party at the screenprinting shop of Purple Monkey Design. Kate and Dan and Tim and I reconvened at Louie's where we enjoyed cheeseburgers and (free!) pie.
